    I need to go carpet shopping, I have been putting it off for a year! but need to cover the stairs for winter..... has anyone got any ideas, recommendations. I'm thinking plain, beige, hardwearing and cheap.

    The hallway is white, with bright pink furniture.

    I always think you need a slight variation of colours ..........as easier to hide snakes footprints :eek:..........ie beige tones as opposed to one block colour:D
