I had 12 different items. I did everything properly except the wine. Ive returned the whole lot except the fillers, said someone must have put the wine there. It was not a problem for them, I got a full refund.
Lesson learned though. Don't rush out in haste.
    Thanks to all who helped.:)

Pink - can I ask whether they took everything back, including all the chilled stuff, and gave you a full refund or whether they just refunded it all and let you immediately re-buy the items at CS with the Garnacha wine instead of the 'wrong' wine resulting in you getting a £9.xx PP ? I'm concerned at the possibility that stores are accepting chilled food for refunds - and perhaps putting it back on sale. I certainly don't want to feel I might be buying such items later on. The other possibility is that they are just 'wasting' the returned stuff ie destroying it - and I'm not too happy about that either as I feel that returning expensive chilled items knowing they will be destroyed is not really acceptable practice when its our mistake not the stores IFYSWIM.

I'm not trying to start an argument - it just wasn't really clear exactly what happened when you took the stuff back.

its just said they are asking the london fire service to be recalled and suspend going on strike till fire is out.
i hope your brother and all others concerned with this and any other emergency stay safe

I can't see that they'd down tools in the middle of a big shout like that. I hope they do suspend the strike
