    Hi Elsie,

I'm thinking of doing similar, did you have any problems using the £5 Finest doubled voucher? Someone else (sorry can't remember who) had to go to Customer Services as it wouldn't scan.

    Thanks,
    Sad_Dad

It was me that had trouble with them - but I've got my own back since then !

    Not seen that mrs-moneypenny

Firemen striking tonight 6-30pm til 11pm tonight I think they said on news earlier .

My brother is one of the civilians drafted in to cover.

While they have all been trained, clearly they don't get the same level of training as the proper ones.

I wouldn't have thought that they would down tools in the middle of something like that

But doesn't that mean that the food will be thrown away because it was chilled food? :( Im sure they can't/shouldn't sell it again, and rightly so.

I don't particularly like the thoughts of buying food that has been in and out of the fridge :o

Gosh isn't a bit cold to be out all that time fishing.

Might join you with some fizz later if I can reach it without making too much noise upstairs, I am enjoying the peace so much. Otherwise I will have to settle for couple of beers myself. Have totally scraped my fast day. :o

Won't be joining you on the darts but will be watching Orphan Black, double bill again. :j

Well he has some ridiculous looking clothes that keep him warm and all sorts of other gear. In fact, he has more gear than we'd need for a two week holiday. I don't mind at all, it's good to see him getting out and enjoying something after all those months of not being able to leave the house.

Yes - its wives who don't understand that a mans shed is his private domain and is NOT to be entered uninvited !

Oh you are wrong there, Mr Tinyshoes has two sheds and a garage and except for the clear path to my freezer in the garage I don't wander anywhere else. ;)

The sheds are definitely man sheds not to be entered by the female of our species. :rotfl:

Elsie - did your doubled up CC vouchers actuallyscan against the 3 bottles of Garnacha from the Meal Deals ? ine wouldn't scan and they said it was because the Meal Deal wine was already discount and I hadn't actuall spent £20 on wine alone.

I had the same earlier in the week and the supervisor told the SS assistant to override. SA was only going to put one £10 voucher through so I said but I wanted to use them both so she spoke to supervisor again and got the ok. But it has put me off doing that again. Just going to use my PP and conditional spend next time.

    Me too.
I messed up on mine during the week, not enough fillers, totally my own fault but enjoyed the nice meals that we had for the week.
I feel I have had enough 'out of them' to take the occasional hit, and after all, it was my own fault!
