Evening AllWhen The Fun Stops Stop0

What I did was weigh 3 egg whites, then weigh the same amount in granulated sugar and icing sugar. Over a bain marie I stirred the granulated sugar and egg whites until the temperature was hotter than my hand and the sugar had dissolved (I was wearing a glove and stirring the whole time). Then whisked up the mixture until it formed stiff peaks (down boys). Then added the sifted icing sugar and whisk until just combined. Piped onto parchment lined trays, then put my oven on the absolute lowest setting. I left them on the middle shelf for 90 minutes, turned the oven off and left for a further 90 minutes without opening the door. I have a gas oven, I don't know if that makes a difference but it worked for me. Good luck
Thank you for all for the lovely comments, had so much fun making those. I've decided to apply for GBBO next year and give up working in film/TV for good. I can't spend another year hunting for work and driving all the time, it's been depressing to say the least. So next year I'm going to start looking for baking jobs as well (if GBBO won't have me).
Thank you purple donkey for your reply..my oven must of been to hot so will try this.. I think you would do well on gbbo from what I have seen on here def v talented

I don't buy a lot of sweet fillers. I usually need enough real stuff to use as fillers.
Worth noting though for those that are doing forces shoeboxes, these sweets are great items to put in the boxes and they go down very well!0 -

Hope someone can help, I'm feeling as I write this is a dumb question but I can not for the life of me think of the answer so I must ask it:D
If I do a cc or delivery @ tosco and believing certain items are going to deliver a pp. If those items are substituted will it compare for the pp with what I ordered or what I got......also how do you receive pp on a cc or home delivery?
tia
ps be gentle with me my addled brain can't take much more tonight
Hmmm, I also think it works on what was delivered (and takes into account your subs). but A doesn't, they give you an APG on your original order, regardless of subs or refusal of items
And on that note, it's past my bedtime. G'night all. XTiger
