That's ok, I'm not hitting the mince pies, just the sherry. :D
    Hope is not a strategy.

  • Got me some snakes - only 2 boxes but mite pop out later if I can persuade OH.

Gillette same as others. Still £1 cheaper in Mr t tho. Beans still n.a. against morries

Smartprice water compares at 17p against tesco even tho it's gone up in tesco to either 24 or 34p a bottle.

Ok, so I'm sitting here listening to the excellent "Merry Xmas, Baby" by Rod Stewart wrapping some presents (I know, hate me). Question: should I go the whole festive vibe and have a glass of sherry?

DH said "Whatever makes you happy, dear" when I asked him, but then he's an excellent husband and very well trained, so I don't know if that counts? Also, what if the beans finally compare and I have to dash out? Decisions, decisions. :D

Has anyone seen the Viners clearance sale on grabbit, plus 10.25% cashback on tcb. Thanks to frances23 and shanikang. Some good bargains to be had and free delivery available.

And midwinter, are you remembering there will be a JL in Y0rk in the new year?

I'll stop rambling now and wrap some presents.
    Yes, open the sherry :beer::D

Yes, open the mince pies. Yum, we normally go through loads of boxes but only on our second. I splashed out on Heston B's waitrose ones. In puff pastry so not the same, just different.

Every year, we do a taste test. Then promptly forget which was best :o:D I dont think we rated Mr K's last year:think:

Afternoon all. Good luck with today Imdebtfree.

    And hiya Westie!

Has anyone got themselves some £8 champagne at S ? Martin's newsletter refers. I felt it was rude not to, though I'd already ordered some at T yesterday using a lovely voucher they'd sent me. Looks like a lot of peeps will be getting a bottle for Christmas this year. :D

Anyone looking for cheap-but-nice Christmas presents, TK Maxx have got in some Royal Worcester glasses (coincidentally the ones T did on a promo earlier this year ...). They are the Grand Chateau design , rather attractive and rather cheap ( a lot cheaper than T's rip off promotion price).

The whisky glasses are particularly nice and only £3.99 for four. They are a nice contemporary design and sit really nicely in your hand. Champagne glasses and red wine glasses are also available for £5.99 and £7.99 a box of four. Worth a look, they look far more expensive and you can buy TK Maxx giftcards in T to pay for them and get a load of extra cc points. :)

Ooooo Thankyou. I'm in need of some nice wine glasses after mr monkey broke one of our crystal wedding present ones!!

Sorry to be a !!!!!! but what APG roughly did you get back from this?
No snakes anywhere near me, apart from delivery, so wouldn't mind trying this
    Tia

    Hi Katilou,

It depends on the total amount of the shop. I got back an APG of £13.68 in total, but I had the Flora £1 and Crunchy Nut Cornflakes £1.14 in addition to just the 12 Crabbies. HTH

    Afternoon All....
Just tried out my hopeful little glitch, not a huge one, but if you need some of these for chrimbo or just if they one of your favorites it may work out worth while. I don't have results back yet, will try to post, but my DS has a party to go to some miles out of town so needs dropping off in a while, then I play darts tonight. I'm not very good, it's only a fun ladies team but it is in the league. If I can match the 2 dart 59 shot out I got last week both myself, and the rest of the team will be delighted.
Anyway, back to that 'possible' glitch.....
Buy 12 in total, this was hinted at last night by another OP but sorry I can't remember who. :o So if it works it's a combined effort. :p
    Crabbie's Alcoholic Ginger Beer(500ml)£2.05
    Crabbie's Strawberry & Lime Ginger Beer(500ml)£2.05
    Crabbie's Raspberry Ginger Beer(500ml)£2.05
Go through till 3 for £5 in A's, but not on mys as they are on A's at 3 for £??5 ;);) and T's at 4 for £5. APG should see them at £2.05 each.... can someone clever do the maths please. :rotfl:

Now off to enjoy a hopefully nice chicken and ham pie and peppered wedges..... but thats another story. ;););):D

I tried this today and it partly worked -

The spiced orange and the raspberry compared favourably, but the original did not.

I bought two of each (6 in total) which may not have been the optimal amount for apg. They were actually 3 for £5, so I paid £10 and the apg I got with a slight adjustment for fillers being slightly different prices was £4.59. Perhaps someone else can explain the maths to see if it is really worthwhile, but watch out for the original one not comparing at the cheaper price (against Tesco).

Good afternoon Peeps and Peepettes

elsie1969 - it worked on Monday, see my posted results. Hope it's still working for you.

    Thanks....
I haven't kept up with every post so missed your original one. :o I'm sure it will still work looking at A's and mys.
Has anyone managed the maths yet..... I'd love to know how much they should be costing me. 4 of them going with DS to tonights party. He wanted me to get him something to take tonight, and came up with a new word. He said i'm sure you can find me something that's affraudable. Don't you just love teenagers!:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
  • Just got back from mr shoes christmas points event... Spend £50 get £12 in points.

Bobbed into morries, mince went through at sel price, still good at half price.
Notice fridge raiders at 59p and a few rtc ice cream cones, smarties box of 4 £1.25, munchies x4 £1.25, mars ice creams £1.25..... Not much cheaper than buying in twos in @ but thought I'd post for people with no @ or t..:)

Off for a quick catch up before cooking tea..:)
