in Credit cards
Hi.
We recently needed some emergency funding to buy a new car at 2 days notice so my initial calculations showed it better to put £4.5k on an existing credit card and them transfer it to a balance transfer card, so I applied for one with the Halifax which gave me a massive limit on the 27 month 0% transfer deal.
As it turned out, I found a cheaper fund stream so used that instead, so I now have a card that I have no intention to use.
Is it better to cancel it straight away or wait a few months then cancel it? I'm now very annoyed that I've used my opportunity for that card so far this year.
Thanks in advance.

Life is very harsh isn't it.
There are plenty of people who would love the opportunity of getting one of those though, and can't.0 -
keep it, as in 6 months call them and ask to close they will give you the clarity which pays £5 a monthDon't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.0
