not been charged for gas for 2.5 years

Just started to organise my finances better

One of my biggest ones is my gas.
Moved into newly renovated flat, which was a business beforehand. Meter at the time wasn't registered.

So I gave our new gas supplier meter box number and reading.

The problem is that first reading is different from theirs and every bill we get in has that same reading they think it is. Estimate of around 10, 000 pounds so they know they are wrong.

Many phones call still no progress, said a dispute team will get in touch never did.
Oh said not phoning again as she is better and tougher on the phone than me.

Paying monthly direct debit still and electric is with them also. Also tariffs have went up since I started with them.

I have kept all the reading plus reading at change of tariffs.

Should I just leave or will I need to get this sorted. I have plenty of credit built up.

Sorry for long post

    Is the supply registered?
Don't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.
  • It was kind of weird.

We were getting gas when we moved in. Told new supplier but couldn't find registered meter or supplier.

Phoned transco registered and then back to the new supplier.

So complicated but they have a wrong start reading which is the only reading they give. They have mentioned that they are disputing with transco but are giving us no progress reports.

You cant register Transco over the phone, a supplier / network have to carry out a live dead test and issue an mpr....something a miss with your supply.

Was it converted building by any chance?

Yes it was converted. Your right. Told trsnsco who then told me I had to go back to supplier. No test was done I think.
