What is Thames/Tames?

I keep getting cold calls from companies trying to sell me a product called Thames or Tames, which could save me money on gas or electricity.
Does anyone know what this is, what it does and does it work?
Thanks

Just hang up and ignore them. If Thames offer a decent price for your household they will appear in a comparison site when you enter your usage and postcode. Find out for yourself how much they cost compared to others rather than trust a cold-calling salesperson.
  • I do ignore the calls I was just interested to find out what the product is in my own time and wondered if anyone else knows.
  • If they phone again and you want to find out what they are offering, ask.

Whenever I get calls like that nowadays I keep them on the phone for as long as possible then when they start asking about paying or personal details etc. I just tell them I'm an OAP who likes winding up cold callers and tell them to hang up because I'm not going to.

I once had a caller keep on going for another 10 mins after I told her that.
