Which companies do not charge a standing charge. EDF charge 26p per day!

26p/day is nothing. Scottish Power's new fixed tariff is 69p/day for dual fuel.
Anyway, use comparison websites and look at the details of each tariff - it'll tell you the breakdown between unit price and standing charge.0 -
After speaking with uswitch it seems most if not all will be using SC from this point on. Its all to do with the bill simplification. Apparently rates will be dropped to reflect this although I cant help think there will be more losers than winners as usual.0

You are confusing this with other discounts being rolled into the prices.0
