Iam looking to replace my dell c510 desktop and get a lap top what would think i should get

And what's the laptop budget? etc etc0 -
i have been told hard drive is faulty some times it will boot on other times blue screen you have to turn it off and restart0

Ensure valuable data has been backed-up. One option (assuming disk is faulty - have you done a full scan?) is to buy a new drive, image it, swap drives.0

what if the external drive fails.
who told you the internal drive was faulty, symptoms like that can be a windows corruption or driver or software problem - so a windows reinstallation would cure it
regardless a new hard disk is far cheaper than a laptop!!
