ipad 2 problem.

hi folks,

I hope someone on this board can give some advice with my new ipad 2 which I bought last week?

when I try to register an apple id number password, it says I must use at least 8 characters, and include at least 1 number and 1 lowercase letter. the ipad keyboard only uses capital letters and numbers, but no lowercase letter? and tried pushing the shift key also but no luck.

any help with this problem would be much appreciated!

according to this - its the shift key - i think either should work?

its definitely possible - my DD has an ipad2 and she can use lower and upper case letters as well as numbers from it.

I think you will find that the keypad is in lowercase , and to get upper you press the shift key (it only stays on uppercase for 1 press I haven't got mine with me at the mo) but as you press each key the value displays for a few seconds in the input area before going to *

Can you see the shift key change from Black outline to Blue outline, to solid Blue each time you press it? If so, it's working.

The keyboard on the iPad always shows capital letters, whether you're typing lower case or not - same as a physical keyboard.

hi folks thanks for your advice. also yes the shift key turns blue when I push it twice, but it is still in caps would you believe.!
