How can I contact The Cheap Energy Club?
I cant find any contact details for the Cheap Energy Club (CEC )as I want to know where I stand with having switched the day before Scottish Power announced their increased prices and used the CEC to make the switch. I dont know how immediate the process is and if my application was in time.
I am wondering if Scottish Power will honour the fixed tariff I selected or will they say my application was not in time? Does anyone have any information on this ? I imagine others will face the same problem as more hikes are due to be announced by the remaining providers. I want to know asap so I can at least have half a chance at switching to another provider before all of the competitive tariffs are removed. There seems to be no way of contacting CEC or MSE.

Thanks , I have tried emailing but I have not had a reply yet. The longer it takes to establish the application status is causing me to question if there will be any other comparitive deals avaialbale when I discover if my switch was applied in time or not
Any other ideas for contact ?0 -
Why not give Scottish Power a call, see if they have a record of your switching request.
Otherwise I suppose its a case of trying to contact MoneySupermarket. That gum you like is coming back in style.0 -

I think they pulled the tarriff 2 days after i switched, so they did honour the switch, so i think hopefully yours is still in the week it took for me to hear from them.

Dear Penrhyn and Elle May, thank you for taking the trouble to reply to me and for your helpful advice. I am pleased to report that I now have had a reply from the Cheap Energy Club and also an email from Scottish Power, as Elle May indicated. I am very lucky it seems and I believe that the tariff I chose will be honoured, even though I switched within hours of the new price increses being announced. The reply from CEC was as below
Hi
I do apologise for the delay in getting back to you. We do have a high volume of emails at the moment.
Energy suppliers receive the date of submission when an application is sent to them so there shouldn’t be an issue. Please see the details of your switch application below:
· Scottish Power - Online Fixed Price Energy March 2015 – Submitted on 23rd October 2013 - £30 cashback -
If you have any further queries or concerns, you can contact Scottish Power on 0845 270 0069.
I hope this information helps.
Kind regards,
Kalah
