I purchased a NTE5 but it has the push down wire connections and where could I get one with the screws fitted?

Not that I intend to fit one...

    regards

You don't see them very often.

    Mainly old stock.

About 3 years since i did mine.

They try to tell us that broadband speeds/internet/phone call quality is helped by the tightness given in the connection by the push down tool. I think its more to do with the bt engineer getting slightly quicker out of the house onto the next job.
  • Also when the engineer fits these sockets they see them as one time fit only.

If it has to be removed for any reason they will not use it again.

Using the push in tool is a one time deal-yes, at £10-£15 a go. Might be more now ,and that doesn't include labour.

A shaved down ice lolly stick does just as good a job and costs zilch !

Btter still, a plastic knife from a carryout shop ;-) Just lay the wire across and press it in.

Many thanks' for your suggestions, and I read on another Forum that someone used the corner of an old Credit Card. :)
