Morning all
Bit gusty but washing on the line for a good blow before it rains. Very mild down here.
Hoping to go into margate later to see the beach motocross, if it's not pouring hard we will go and have a wander around the old town too, if you haven't been to margate recently, it is on the up.
Have tidied garden of loose objects just in case storm hits us, although I would love to live overlooking the sea, today I am glad I'm five minutes walk from it. I'm not panicked, just prepared. My dear old dad used to stockpile milk and bread, yes he was one if THOSE pensioners who raided the shops.
DH gone for a bike ride, if anyone sees what they think is ET in Lycra it's him!
Keep safe all.Carolbee0 -
Morning (((((((((((((Hugs))))))))))))))))) if you need one.
I was very late waking up this morning it was 10am before I opened my eyes, but feel better for it,
The invalid has been fed and will be getting up shortly, this is his last but one day of being waited on, running up and down stairs is very tiring. So from Monday he is back on getting up with me.
Its quite cool this morning although I have not got the heat on, the thermostat is set at 18c for it to kick in.
No pland for the day except to rest as much as possible. OH wants to go out for a blow, so will walk him round the cul de sac, not taking him down the hill I will never get him back up again.
Salad and something, possibly ham for supper. I am trying to hold off going for my big shop until next Thursday.0 -
Morning All
Just back from Glasgow, quick visit to get a couple of things and order 2 twinkle rings as they had a buy one get one half price offer. One is for a friend's 40th (she chose which one she would like) and the other is to put away for DDs christmas. Also managed to buy a pair of shoes!
The weather here is very calm, a bit showery but not bad but not good enough to put the washing out.
Going to pack a couple of boxes today hopefully, well done snoozer on the house purchase, unfortunately we still haven't exchanged and less than 2 weeks to the move date!
Moorhen - Glad you had a good holiday, sounds good fun.
Hope you all survive the storm, I like stormy weather but only if I know my house is safe!

Afternoon all,
Bit miffed today; checked the weather forecast which said no rain so pegged out the washing and of course it's been drizzling since. Can't be bothered to go and get it in. It's only DH's old work clothes anyway :rotfl:
Did the usual Aldi/ veg shop first thing, then I made a filled with chocolate sponge cake and DH cooked up some veg, so he can make bubble and squeak tonight. He also made an apple pie for the first time
Think we might go for a drive this afternoon, heaven knows where though.
I think the storm is due to miss us tomorrow thank goodness.
