worn babygrows/sleepsuits

I've finally started to go through the piles and piles of outgrown kids clothes, and having decided we are having no more :j :j :p :j :j (and looking forward to getting our freedom back in a about 17 years!).

anyway, i'm selling the nice clothes, but don't know what to do with the vests and babygrows/sleepsuits. They've done 2 kids, and are really cheap to buy now (especially in the supermarkts) so aren't worth selling or even taking to the charity shops round here (far too posh for these :D ).

should I just cut them up for cleaning cloths (and move to the old style board) or is there anywhere i can donate them to where they'd be useful?

I'm already sending all my maternity bras to the place suggested on the charities board...just wondering if there was something similar for baby clothes?

I always find a charitie 'bin' usually found at tescos that send clothes to third world contries. Even if you think that they are not worth having people in these countries would really appriciate them.

People at our local charity shop are so rude i do this all the time now. I dont know if there is any other way you find to donate them to the third world. Others might be able to tell you better than i can :D

    or offer them on Freecycle

it's also worth seeing if there's a women's refuge locally as often the women and their kids literally walk escape with the clothes on their backs...

You can offer them on Freecycle (https://www.freecycle.org then click to find & join your local group), you might be suprised who would want them!

Edit : Oops, cross posted with Justie!

Try your local National Childbirth Trust nearly new sale.

I buddled mine into piles of mixed sizes and labelled them with "you can never have too many spares". I only got a few pounds for them but if you look after the pounds...

My local branch worked on a 30/70 donation basis and was really well organised. If you can't be bothered to sell then you may find that they will take them as a donation and sell them on behalf of the NCT for 100%!

What about your local children's ward or nursery?

Or, if you are car booting, bung them in a box and sell for 10p each! You never know...

    Some very good ideas above!
You could also try in your local community - there may be some groups eg baby and toddler groups or expectant mothers who may appreciate a few spares....
