Twitter worked for me, I was one of the many they stopped taking the DD from. Took a few messages back and forth but I'm back paying again without big bills racking up.

Luckily my fixed rate finishes this month and I am just U-Switching away. They were fine when it all worked but you just have no way of getting hold of them easily. Shocking Customer Services.

The only good thing they did was the variable direct debit so I know there is no worry trying to get any money back from them.

Luckily I've not had any of the above problems but just registered to switch tariff to the new isave fixed May 2015 plan. Hope I don't have problems switching. Turned down their fixed offer a few months ago and considered switching to Scottish Power but didn't like the high daily standing charges.

I'm being brave with this switch as I could'nt find a link to the actual gas / leccy unit tariffs but instead switched based on what uswitch comparison site stated them as:
Electricity unit rates

• 11.537p per kWh
• Annual electricity standing charge: £49.24

Gas unit rates

• 3.621p per kWh
• Annual gas standing charge: £49.24

all rates exc. VAT
