Bose Soundlink mobile or Soundlink air

My husband has been talking about the Bose portable speaker and was thinking of getting him one for Christmas. I haven't really got much of a clue myself and notice that there are two different models. The Soundlink mobile and the Soundlink air.
Does anyone have one or have any idea what the difference is between the two? Many thanks for any info.

The Mobile will link via Bluetooth to any phone, the Airplay only to Apple devices or a computer running iTunes0
