I don't think there will be a universal answer.

One insurers assumes - Has not received any criminal conviction for fraud, dishonesty or deception in the last 5 years.

You would need to check the "assumption" questions that each insurer asks.

Unless they ask you don't need to declare.

If you are in doubt ring any insurers that you are interested in and go through the full quote with them. If they don't ask about convictions then you don't need to mention - it's up to them to ask.

They will normally honour any online quotes to get your business.

It is also worth considering whether the offence is "spent" within the context of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act. If it is then the insurer must ignore it anyway.
