Cancellation Fees - Anyone Managed to Reclaim Them?

Note the npower tariff is new - it only came out after they a raised prices last week and is more expensive than what was available before it (their march 2014 deal). So you should probably just wait till late Dec then kick off the switch process then, as it takes 6 - 8 weeks to complete. That way you should switch just after your current deal completes, without incurring fees. NPower's Dec 2014 deal won't be going anywhere now they've already raised their prices. That's what I was told today, that the fee is waived if you take another of their tariffs. I can fix with SP until 31st December 2016 at a cost of an extra £97 a year on what I am paying now, but Npower are doing a similar fix until 31st December 2017 which will cost the same, and with no cancellation fees. I think the SP tariff still has exit fees if you leave early.0 -

Thanks, so hopefully it won't be withdrawn by the end of the year and I can start the process off then. It will be 10% more expensive than my current deal, but having it fixed for 4 years is advantageous and there are no cancellation charges, so if prices do start to go down (yes, I know:D) then I can switch with no penalty."You should know not to believe everything in media & polls by now !"
