  • Many thanks Dktreesea for your very positive comments. I have good days and bad days. Been on a stretch of good days recently. Enjoying and forums..especially this one and have enjoyed reading other people's stories. I think I just want to do the right thing but it is obvious that that is quite subjective and there is no right or wrong way to deal with my situation.
I like your comments about paying myself a little. I agree..even if it just going for a coffee with a friend or getting my nails done (done on special occasions only usually).
Whatever happens though I do aim to make a difference to this bloody mortgage.

  • House for sale details have gone online tonight. Pics look good. We will see if there's any interest in the next few weeks..I know it's nearly Xmas but you never know. ;)
In the meantime I am going to be sensible with money and attempt to use the need not want mantra on spending.
Spent £10 at lunch today and that's it.
    Tomorrow is a NSD..fingers crossed.
Food shop arrived..loads in..need to meal plan sensibly to make shop last for at least 10 days.
I didn't buy any chocolate or fizzy drinks...we will all benefit from that decision:T

  • Omg..my house details are online and exactly the same day two similar properties go on for £25000 less than mine.
Now is that someone trying to tell me something?
There hasn't been a similar property on for months..direct competition.
Makes me inclined to take it off but that's like defeatist isn't it?
This house is the bane of my life I swear.

  • Hi Happydays! Just thought i'd drop in and say hi and good luck!
I had a quick thought though - we used an online estate agent a few years ago to sell our house and it was brilliant! We only paid £249+VAT (although think the price has gone up now to £299+VAT) and literally saved thousands. I sound like an advert for the company but it was really good! All you need really is to be on rightmove and you will sell. They are PropertyEagle if you wanted to take a look but there are others too I think.
    Net mortgage: £246,227 - now £240,286.52

    Daily interest: £21.24 - now £20.67

Goal 1 - get daily interest to below £20.
  • No news yet on the house front.
Intended another NSD but kids had a Maccies..£11ish. Need more willpower!

The day has passed with me watching sky+ and generally pottering.
