Delivery Error in my Favour

Hi team,
I recently purchased a new bed from an online retailer. When the bed was delivered I was at work and the delivery was taken in by some builders we had in the property.
Upon checking the items we realised there was a missing box so we contacted the retailer to let them know. They organised for a new delivery.
I returned home from work yesterday to find the delivery men had been (still got builders in the house) and that instead of delivering the missing box they had delivered 2 whole new beds !
I was wondering what you think I should do? Should I keep quiet and see if they contact us to pick these beds up? Should I contact the company to let them know there has been an error somewhere?
Your thoughts would be appreciated

Call the company and advise of their mistake.
You didn't really need a stranger on the internet to tell you that, did you?0 -
As said you need to contact them its a honest mistake they should organize collection and pay for it themselves0
-
Of course you could keep quiet if that's what you want to do. However the company can chase you for (I believe) up to 6 years after the event to claim their money back.
So the safest and morally correct decision is to let them know about their mistake.
What you do however is totally up to you.0 -
Call them is what I shall do. Would be too scared/worried to hold on to them anyway. Was hoping someone could persuade me otherwise0

The op hasnt paid any extra money, and if no one signed for it, theres no proof of delivery.0

Of course they haven't. If they had paid extra money, the beds would be theirs! But if the beds were £200 each then the company could chase the OP for £400 if they kept them.
You are also assuming that nobody signed for them. Maybe the builders did?0 -
Maybe they did, but if they didnt there's no proof of delivery, and the company can't claim anything back.0

In small claims, you don't need to prove beyond reasonable doubt. You only have to prove its what likely happened on the balance of probabilities.
2 delivery guys saying they delivered beds to OP's address would sway that balance of probability in the retailers favour.
Please be careful what advice you give on this site as MSE can be held liable for what you post and you're effectively promoting theft. You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means - Inigo Montoya, The Princess Bride0 -
This is moneysaving, not moneyscamming0

WRONG. no forum can be held liable for what ever any of their members write. if they were held liable then they would not set up the forums.0
