Bought this washer 3 months ago, it have become very noisy. Had the repair man out who informed me that a part was missing. As this was rather an expensive machine I felt that it was wrong to be offered a repair rather than a replacement but have been told by Samsung and Curry's that the repair is my only option. Is this correct.

Yes, after this length of time it is for the retailer to select whether to refund, repair or replacement, as long as the selected option is completed within a reasonable time.0

That's what the engineer said. He has ordered the part and is suppose to be fitting it next week.0

Should I agree to a fix rather than fit for a replacement. Must admit I can do without the hassle?0

That's all you're really entitled to, you can fight for a replacement until you're blue in the face but they don't have to give you one, they just have to provide a remedy which they are doing by repairing it.0

thanks folks, will take on advice. Can now relax and enjoy my weekend.0

But its not a repair as such- they sold a machine with a part missing! Has the missing part had any detrimental effect on any other parts of your machine?weight loss target 23lbs/49lb0

I don't think so. But if anything else is broken. Samsung apparently will replace if 3 or more repairs are needed!0
