From their site and their description of the tariff:

You pay an extra 0.28p on each kWh of gas and 0.84p on each kWh of electricity. That is compared to their new prices come 23 Nov.

But you still pay that for the two winters after that (14/15 and 15/16).

So that's an extra £28 if you use 10,000 kWh of gas or £56 if you use 20,000. And an extra £16.80 for every 2,000 kWh of electricity.

It is up to you to decide if you think that the increases at the start of the second and third winter will compensate for the first winter.

One other complication is the £50 per fuel leaving penalty.

Take your annual consumption and your postcode to a comparison site and see how that tariff compares to others.

Note that info was for a Fixed deal.

If yours is a separate Fix and Fall then the set up is different - you pay the new standard prices (no premium) but will not face any increases. If the variable standard price falls you also receive the price cut.

The catch with that is that you are on a standard tariff - other discount or fix tariffs may be cheaper. (Not so many now, though)

My mums on the discount variable november 2013 tariff and was looking at this tariff for her to go onto when that one finishes. She won't leave BG so i'm limited in finding a decent rate tariff.
ps: sorry the one i'm looking at is fix and fall 2014 or fixed price 2016 don't see that one above mentioned.
