For 27p, you could buy 1 single carrot- 9p, and a potato 18pPaid off the last of my unsecured debts in 2016. Then saved up and bought a property. Current aim is to pay off my mortgage as early as possible. Currently over paying every month. Mortgage due to be paid off in 2036 hoping to get it paid off much earlier. Set up my own bespoke spreadsheet to manage my money.0

Have donated it to cancer research, and filled in the tax form so they get an extra 7p making a grand total of (nearly) 34p!
You do know that you probably just cost the charity money right?
It would cost more in processing/administration/mastercard fees than 34p to process such a payment.
It's the thought that counts though, right?0 -

How rude and smug at the same time.
Cancer in whatever shape or form is not pleasant at all, and any effort, at any cost to find a cure is welcome.0 -

I would hope that charity would be sensible and not accept amounts that aren't worth collecting. Although I would advise charity donations to be made by fewer, larger payments, and not using a credit card (so debit card, or other means), to minimise costs.
Going a bit more on topic, the OP might find it useful to know some online retailers allow you to send yourself a gift card for any value you like. For example, the OP could have sent an 27p amazon gift card to themself.0 -

Agreed.and any effort, at any cost to find a cure is welcome.
Not sure I understand what your saying here. It sounds like your saying that the charity should be grateful of the 37p donation, even though it might cost them 50p in administration charges to accept it, therefore making a loss.0
