Should I cancel ppi premiums

I a about to start to reclaim mppi. What I would like to know is that the policy is still running. Should I cancel the dd and stop paying the premiums or should I let them continue whilst going through the process.

If you die in the next few weeks, became ill or were made redundant, how are you going to pay your mortgage?

  • I wouldn't be able to claim anything as I am self employed and always have been. The policy is therefore no good to me. Never has been.

  • Are you sure it will not cover you if you are self-employed?

    Most MPPI does.

that might be the case of PPI on some loans or some credit cards, but i doubt it's the case with your mortgage cover.
If you did have unemployment cover, it would probably kick in once you started claiming JSA or the equivalent.

most ppi covers self-employed, but that issue is only the unemployment cover on the policy. there is no issue with sickness. so to say PPI doesnt cover self-employed is incorrect.

so as taff said if you become ill or die (assuming life cover is attached) how will you pay the mortgage?

If this si the same cover you've talked about on your other thread, then again, you can't complain it was missold if you forgot to cancel it.
