vista with windows mail...mail hangs badly

i have a recently new laptop with vista and windows mail for the email
the emailer hangs really bad and is just unresponsive...click on a message or icon and it takes 10-20 secs to respond
any suggestions?

major problem with vista mail. i found opening the calendar makes it responsive again. i guess M$oft will address the issue eventually.0
