Herb / Spices I can grow indoors
Hi all
I've just been given a couple of chilli plants and I'm looking forward to harvesting my own chillis soon (the plants are flowering but I don't know when to expect chillis!).
Anyway this got me to thinking - what other spices / herbs can I grow easily indoors?
Also does anyone have any practical experience of preserving chillis? I've looked on the web and may try drying, putting in olive oil or vinegar. Any thoughts?
Thanks!

Hi topher,
This thread might help with preserving the chillis:
Preserving chillis
You should get more help with the gardening questions on the Greenfingered board so I'll move your thread over there.

There are various herbs you can grow on a sunny windowsill - basil is a favourite of mine. Chives, coriander, oregano, mint also work.0

You can definitely grow Basil as I have one of those pots of herbs you buy from the supermarket for use in the next few days. My pot of Basil from Waitrose has a use by date of 1 May 2007 and it's still going strong with the occassional watering.0
