Can anyone give me home insurance advice - re overpayment?

I had my home insurance renewal notice through, the letter that came with it said that basically the insurance had gone up and the broker I use (who also offered the more expensive insurance) had sourced a cheaper quote and to contact them if I wanted to go with the cheaper insurance.
I called and said I'd like to go with the cheaper price - ok no problems.
I pay monthly by DD through Premium Credit.
Now i've only just noticed (3 months on) that Premium Credit have been taking out the smaller premium and Home INsurance Solutions (who offered the cheaper price but it seems are also backed by Premium Credit) are taking out the larger premium every month.
Now the way I see it, I've only ever had the paperwork through for the cheaper quote and I've only ever heard from Premium Credit quoting the smaller premium so they owe me the 3 premiums that i've over paid.
But where do I stand? If I call them will they tell me it's my fault and that I'm unlikely to ever see my money again?
Help.
