Using Wikis.

Hi All,

I got the meeting minutes to a new up and coming project that I'm going to become involved in from next week onwards. One point that confuses me is this - using wikis for providing indexed online information to the comapny. What exactly does this mean?

A company website in a similar style to Wikipedia.

Stay away from Mediawiki. I've had no end of security problems with it in the last 6 months, to the extent that my hosting company have told me to ditch it. Promptly.

a "wiki" is a website that once created can be updated and edited by it's users directly on the web page.

it also has "version control" so you can moderate changes to pages and roll back changes are required.
