Travel Insurance, not based in UK

We are a married couple based in Middle East. We cannot find an insurance package off the shelf.
We are over 60 and in good health but taking medicine for blood pressure etc.
We need to call an insurer in UK as on-line forms assume you are departing from UK and we also require to speak to them regarding pre-conditions. Also we need long stay policy.
Phone numbers are 0844 or 0845 numbers. saynoto0870.com don't list these companies.
So we are stuck, unable to phone an insurance company suggested by MSE.
Can anyone help?
TIA

The first one I looked at had the following contact info

    Telephone CoverForYou on 0203 137 8981
    (Monday - Friday, 9am - 5:00pm)
    E-Mail: support@coverforyou.co.uk
Change is inevitable, except from a vending machine.

Assuming these work at all from where you are they should be normal international calls

Just pop the 0845 etc numbers into saynoto0870 to get a geographic number....... that said most policies sold in the UK insist you are UK residents. It may be worth trying some of the ex-pat forums for suggestions about companies who may offer a product that is suitable for you.

  • If you are based in the Middle East I assume you have private health care? Travel insurance can normally be incorporated into this for an extra sum.

The cover is only for journey staring and finishing in Uk.
No good to us I'm afraid.

I wasn't suggesting that they could offer you cover
As you were suggesting that all the numbers were premium rate I was merely pointing out that standard national rate phone numbers are on most insurance company websites.

Why not call a broker and ask them what they can find for you?
