Well this is such good news. Now everyone can sue for compensation to claim that British Health & Safety standards should apply abroad.

Most of the posts on this forum already are from folk wanting advice on how to make a claim against someone for something, although they sometimes try to dress it up in other ways. And are no doubt exactly the same ones who whine on about the compensation culture they have created. Rant over.

Mrs Japp, from Worthing, West Sussex, said outside the court: "I had been sunbathing and was just wearing a bikini. I closed the doors to the room so that the air conditioning would make it nice and cool inside before I had my shower to prepare for the evening.
"It was a very small balcony and I am a very small person, and you don't get much momentum going by walking about three feet. I was cut all over."



So she went onto the balcony to sunbathe and shut the glass door. Then forgetting that she had shut the door she tried to re-enter her room, walked into the door and cut herself.


And she wants compensation.

Yes - the frightening thing is though that it has gone as far as a courtroom!

If anyone is responsible for this, it should be the hotel. Not Virgin.

Anyway, why do all the idiots come from where I live?
