hello fellow student money savers,
i need your help. my account is with natwest for my student banking and it turns out they have been charging me interest since june at least on my overdraft. i have had no notice of this and when i have been going into branch and using my account no one has mentioned a thing about the graduate account, in fact i was told that my account would switch automatically in september when i opened my account . can anyone please advise me on what to do. im really angry at this as im usually really good with my money and now i have months of interest on my record!

Need more details. What account have you got? Is this the account you should have? What is your overdraft limit? Are you/have you been overdrawn and by how much?0 -
The graduate accounts with Natwest shouldn't be charging interest unless you are going over your agreed overdraft limit. How much is your agreed overdraft?0

hey folks thanks for the responses,
they currently still have me on a student account and my agreed limit is 1300 on my overdraft which i havent been going over. i finished uni in june and since then they have been charging me on my overdraft even though i am within my limit. really quite angry. the earliest i can get to a branch is wed so im going to go see them is there anything that ask that they can do like refund my interest or take the problem off my credit record?
thanks for the help0 -

The fact you are being charged for an overdraft shouldnt effect your credit record. I don't think there is anything specific on the record which says whether or not you are paying overdraft fees0
