Your English and knowledge of the law is exceptional, you are either a natural Brit testing the water or a hugely educated person.
With such knowledge why have you not taken up your injustice with a solicitor rather than post on a message board?
Everything you have said and the timings point to me of you being a wum.
I hope I am wrong and you are who you say you are.
I don't think you are wrong...0 -

The criterion that should be used following the guidance is that the self employment is "genuine and effective", obviously some local authorities take this to mean the same as self sufficient.
I'm appalled by that
I truly believed that Big Issue sellers were 'homeless' people and by selling the magazine, they were being helped by the Charity.
Their own website states... Last year alone we put more than £5million in the pockets of our vendors, releasing them from a dependence on hand-outs and providing an alternative to begging

Don't fall for becoming too het up about self-employed Big Issue sellers because even if every one of them is Romanian Roma (aka gypsies) there's only 2,000 total in the UK.0

Guess theres no chance of the Romanian taxpayers getting saddled with your housing costs?
How did it all go so wrong?0 -
Romanian minimum wage is one euro per hour. From next January no citizen of that country that migrates to the UK will need to take to the streets to flog magazines to claim Housing Benefit, etc. Those with poor job prospects and lots of kids are expected to flock here, and who could blame them?0
