Forget Vf...maybe hang the net in the shed. Must get out any going off, and look out for frost.
My father used to tie them to a cane or string where more air got to them and more visible.
I store dry, chop and freeze or dehydrate them.
Update, just read on hudk that Asda are doing onions £1 for 10kg0 -
