Still some pork joint in the freezer from last time , so nothing for me this time

It might be worth hanging on if you want to buy a lot of onions, my local store had 5kg bags at 28pkg. last week, but not seen them since.

For £1.99 you can't complain about the pork but I would not think it good value at full price.

It's £3.99 this week, would that be classed as good value? I don't really buy meat from Lidl, I sometimes go to the market or to Morrisons. Or would I be better hanging on until next weekend and getting it for £1.99?

I dont think anyone on here would buy something at full price when they know they can buy it at half price in a few days time

For what its worth - I have never bought it at full price. It comes round often enough on the half price weekends for me to stock up and put in the freezer.

I find its cheaper to buy a bag than the number I need and give the rest away to the more prolific cooks in my family. I seem to recall you posting a tip for ensuring that onions live a long life, remind me please?
