Just a thought, but when you said 3678 for the year, was that just units as read from your meter? If so, that's not the same as kWh which is what is used for billing. Now free from the incompetence of vodafail0

well its under the heading Usage Data and each month has usage in it and then at the end under December (total year ) it states 5234 electric and 3678 gas so.....???0

Okay, those are your readings, not meter units used.
24 Mar 2012 to 19 Mar 2013 a difference of 700 meter units. Multiply by 11.2 to convert to kWh gives 7,870 kWh
This year to Oct you've used 369 meter units or 4,100 kWh
So the forecast does seem a bit high.0 -
So I used 7,870 from last March to this but for last 7 months (march to october) I have used 4,100 mmmm interestingOkay, those are your readings, not meter units used.

In the last 5 months I've used 152 kWh of gas (hot water only).pickyporsha wrote: »wow you don't seem to use very much.
I've estimated 5000 kWh annual usage because of my flat's poor insulation but it could be much more or less than that really.0 -
Nada66 Thanks for showing me how its all worked out. I have now just worked out that from last October to this I have used 9,744 kw of gas
Is this same way to work out electric ? 0 -
No, electricity meter units are already in kWhs, the pricing unit. One meter unit is one kWh.
For gas meters there are two types. Metric (which I have assumed you have) where one meter unit is approx 11.2 kWh and imperial meters where one meter unit is approx 33 kWh.0
