in Credit cards
Hey guys,
I recently applied for a Sainsburys card and a virgin card but was rejected by Sainsburys. Is it fair to assume that my tarting days are over? Should I not apply for any more cards in the next few months? How does it affect my credit rating and should I be worried? I currently have £14k on cc's that I plan on clearing when the sale of my house is complete.
Thanks for any comments because now im starting to worry that my credit rating is shot.

I got turned down for a Tesco credit card. I got turned down twice which put me off slightly. But i recently applied for a Morgan and Stanley card - and got it.
I cant understand why Tesco turned me down though as they have at least £100 of my money every week when i shop online and it all goes on my debit card with no problems. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
myfairlady best to leave applying for anymore for about 4 months, should be OK, but maybe best to do as Deemy says anyway
Judi read on a post previously that Tesco is quite a hard card to apply for and a few people get turned down2p off is still 2p off!0 -
I got turned down by Tesco's, appealed and got a card with a 2k limit. Better than a wasted credit check
. I applied for scottish widows and was turned down, then applied for IF and was accepted.
No rhyme or reason for this. To OP I'd take it slowly but don't give up all together. As far as credit rating goes - we have to accept that stoozing is the kiss of death  to a 'good' credit rating but with careful management it needn't turn into a 'bad' credit rating.
