I can only book a a date on a Friday after 2pm and after ringing the number off time because no one answers the phone (this is anytime not just a Friday) finally I manage to get a answer and am told that all the judges are away and we will take your number and give you a call.
So 2 weeks have nearly passed and heard nothing so I called again and again and got no answer, so as the court is local I decided to pop down their. Once at the desk I had to ring the bell a number off times before I got any answer then that person had to go find someone else who then had to go find another person.
Finally I got to talk to someone who said all the district judges went on holiday at the same time and it has now given them a 3 week back log. Well they do have my number and said I should here by Friday week.
Also their is only 2 people who deal with the BR and one is away at the moment ( must be off for a long time as the last month had nothing but issues)

Anyway how did someone agree to letting all the judges have the time off at the same time... really if this was done in my company it would close down.
secondly why only have one person dealing with this, I just get the view that they don't give a toss about you.

I agree that 3 Judges should not be allowed to take leave at the same time. Unfortunately the staff that work in the County Courts have been cut like every other area of the civil service, so they are always very busy and this gets even worse if someone if off ill or on leave.

The staff at Yeovil County Court have been terrific, but it sounds like other County Courts may not be so good.

Woohoo finally on Friday I got the long awaited call from the courts.
Date now set for Tuesday 26th November have to be down their for half nine.

Will be thinking of you on Tuesday and here's my tongue in cheek checklist, what to take to court :-

- Your two copies of 6.27 and 6.28 and the Originals, do not sign them, you do this in front of the clerk. Your completed EX160 if applicable and any benefit letters/forms etc as proof.

- Money for bankruptcy fees.

- Spare change for coffee machine.

- Paper or magazine to read while waiting.

- Change for car park.

- Optional a friend to chat to/hold hand.
