Fixed price - will it be reduced if my usage decreses

If I sign up to a fixed price deal, committing myself for maybe 4 years, if my gas and electricity usage decreases in this period as it probably will (daughter heading to University) can the price be reduced or am I stuck with it?

It is a fixed price per unit. If you use more your bill goes up, if you use less your bill goes down.

You are fixing the price you pay for each kWh of energy.
If you usage decreases the amount you pay to the utility will decrease because you are using less energy.
Assuming you pay by budget plan it may take 12-18 months for you to see the difference as the 'budget' will be based on your current usage

Yes, it's only a fixed unit price. As said above the less you use the less you should pay. And even if they set a DD amount that too can be corrected downward as your usage decreases later on.
