Clingfilm on the toilet !

I have an old house that is used as a weekend retreat. It suffers badly from damp and I have a dehumidifier running constantly (it has a stat that controls when it should run, so comes on and off as required) during the winter months. Recently it was suggested that I should be putting Clingfilm over the toilets as the dehumidifier would be slowly trying to empty them. Is this really required as I don't fancy having to ask guests visiting the place to start removing and replacing Clingfilm when they come and go. Any advice on this ? Thanks in advance.

Better than not telling them or forgetting yourself;)0 -
Can't you just put the lid down and shut the toilet door?0

With the loo seat down, there will be minimal effect. Not worth it, in my opinion.0

Clingfilm over toilets reminds me of my student days.
It's fine for a prank where you don't have to clear up the mess but I wouldn't do it in my own home.
Actually, it isn't really fine for a prank where you don't have to clear up the mess.0 -
That powdered jelly down the loo.... that's what the students used to do in my day.... set like a rock.
Never liked that kind of prank.... when I need a bog, I NEED a bog...
