Sainsburys 25% off 6 or more bottles of wine/champagne

MSE tweeted this "extreme couponing" offer this morning. It only works for new Sainsbury's online accounts. Even without that it can be as low as around £10.50 per bottle, depending on the delivery slot you pick.

It does warn you that the 25% off 6 bottles doesn't appear in the checkout but even after I have paid that discount hasn't appeared. I hope it is eventually credited but I am taking this one on trust....

Anyone else done this yet? Have you got the 25% discount? Got to do it quick as you need a delivery slot before midnight on November 2nd

The 15 off is taken off online as you confirm so you can see it. The 25% comes of on your receipt. The conditions for the per cent discount are per 6 bottles or more...not the cast. The 15 pounds off comes first so spend over 50 here. The 25% comes last.. As delivered.. So does not need to be £50. 8 bottles of VIlla Maria...usually £9ish came to under £4.50 each.

Rang CS, the discount is applied to bill on day of delivery. A bit of a confusing way to do it, so I,ll see when it arrives. HTH

Yes I rang them as well and they said that if the £15 shows as coming off on the order then it will come off the bill even if the 25% discount takes it to below £60 when the order is delivered.

Just had an attempted, really annoying delivery of champagne and wine on offer from Mr S, got free delivery (spent over £100), got £15 off as first delivery).
Bought wine and champers on offer, very specific, no substitutes....... only to find that champagne out of stock, wine - 4 of 6 bottles only available when delivered!

Useless!

Why didn't they call and say not available, or tell you when you order. Am now waiting for call from CS....... bet it won't happen!

I would like all the stuff that I spent ages ordering online, but not if it is going to cost the normal price!!

Am really annoyed.

I was lucky - though I wasn't holding out great hopes of getting the 6 bottles of champers (& the carton of smoothie that I also bought for £1.50 to take the total to the £50 'trigger point'). The delivery's just come out here to the middle of nowhere, we got all six bottles, with a total bill of £49.50 Very happy, and feeling lucky, because I had anticipated a shortfall in the order, in which case I'd have been embarrassed, but I would have refused to accept delivery. It was the combining of offers that made this such a good deal. That's Christmas and New Year fizz sorted. I picked the offer up from the MSE sidebar, so thanks to whoever spotted this in the first place and did all the complicated maths!:T

Just received my 6 bottles of Champagne and some Tassimo pods. Paid £52.50. Well chuffed. Thanks MSE for making it soooooo easy :beer:

I have just turned down my order. They substituted 1 bottle of a different champers and 5 bottles of Cava. Even the driver said he wouldn't have accepted it.

Only one of my bottles was substituted but I have no idea how much it all comes to because the driver could not find the bill!!

He said they will email or post it to me.

Got a phone call saying today's delivery cancelled as there was no stock left. Could reorder this evening!! Wont bother.
