Pub Food in Nottingham

I will be travelling to Nottingham later in the month & wondered if anyone had any experience re eating in here.

Seems very cheap but is near to the event that I am attending.

Other suggestions are welcome but not Wetherspoons please:rotfl:

We ate here a couple of weeks ago and the food was excellent. Sunday dinner (roast beef sharing platter) for four was £23.

Do you need to be in Sneinton? If not, I would avoid it!

I must be honest and i would not venture any where near that pub you have mentioned,i have lived in Nottingham all of my life and that is one area i would never go to,

I'll take your advice & head into town.The place in #2 sounds great.

I had no idea re the area's profile/reputation but given the above I will be dining elsewhere.Thanks for the help.

I'll leave this thread now as I have made my choice.
