If you are in Belfast, then POFA2012 does not apply (only applies in England and Wales), so even if you do get a ticket/series of scammy letters, all you do is ignore them and do not get into any dialogue with the company or their fake debt collectors.
However, you would be well advised to leave disabled bays for people who need the better access - Being a parent is not a disability and P&C bays have no meaning whatsoever beyond execrable psychobabble.0 -

Not again...WHY would you think you have a right to a special bay?
Allow me a little rant to explain the difference, as I am a mother of four lovely kids and also have had jobs driving and advising very disabled people, and have disabled relatives of my own.
DISABLED BAYS IN A PRIVATE CAR PARK, e.g. a Supermarket = Disabled people have a legal right to park there. The service provider has put them there under the Equality 2010 which also applies in your neck of the woods. KEEP OUT! If the disabled bays are full then a disabled person has every right under the Act to use another reasonable close/wide bay, like a P&C gimmick bay.
PARENT & CHILD BAYS = Anyone can park there. The Supermarket has put them there as a gimmick to make parents think they care! No legal meaning whatsoever and users have no legal right to a wider/closer bay. Under no circumstances should parent think this gives them any right at all to take a disabled bay just because the gimmick P&C bays are full.
But, as you are in NI and this was a private (fake) PCN possibility, you can IGNORE the ticket if it is sent, and the letters that follow because the Watchdog advice still applies in Scotland and NI:

In England & Wales it's different because we have an appeals procedure that we know how to win. So it's all good.
BUT please, please, do not ever think that gimmick 'special' bays for parents & babies means you have any rights on a par with the rights of a disabled person.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Wow I did not know that about the P&C bays. I shall remember that the next time I need to park close to the store because of rain and find it hard to drive past the ignorant people stupidly parked in the drop off point, sticking out.0 -
You will get a ticket if there is a PPC operator on foot but otherwise the P&D bays mean nowt. A pure gimmick, part of the 'spin' of the huge Supermarkets - and unfortunately the OP above is not the first one to swallow the gimmick and then honestly believe she has the same parking rights in such a car park, as disabled people.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
