Hi Jacked
So as far as I knew I was paying a regular monthly DD to first Utility for my dual fuel, I even had acknowledgements in Aug and Sept for my readings, in early Oct I pre-empted a reading as I was going on holiday only to log into my account and find I was no longer a customer since July, through no directions of myself.
I found that a new resident locally had put the wrong house number to his address and had applied to N Power for his dual fuel, and low and behold without any knowledge to me i was now an n power customer. I have chased this with First Utility and it looks as if as they call it an err onus on the account and hopefully it will be put back to the way it was.
does anyone know where I stand with all this, I was at the time in a fixed deal with first utility until March 2014 will they make it all right or do i have to go to an ombudsman. I find it incredulis that I now have to do all the running around to sort something of not my own making, MAD
I have now missed three months payments with winter looming, look forward to your replies thanks

Yes, they will make it right and they must honour your original tariff. You will not be reimbursed the missed payments, though, of course.0

Do try to grab now a copy of any online or paper bills that have been issued already to make sure that the figures are correct in the end and in case online details disappear (if they haven't already.)0
