Hi
After a lengthy battle with Zenith windows I thought i'd all been settled and the mistakes they'd made were being rectified. But because I signed the credit agreement over 1 yr ago I had to sign it again. When it came back they'd written down I was the homeowner - the salesman had done the dirty and tricked me into signing - so I figure since that agreement was null and void I'd correct them and told them i'm not the homeowner. At which point they saif they couldn't help me. So now I'm in the position i've the windows but no way to pay? Help!

i dont understand sorry. are you saying they have fitted your windows and now won't accept payment?0

SO if you're not the homeowner, then you rent the house. But why is it you that has to pay for the windows to be put in, when surely the home owner would have ordered them?!?
Sorry, i'm confused!Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0 -
Sorry - house is in partners name, so I paid for windows - they want payment but their finance team cannot help me as I am not the homeowner, bit late to tell me that when i've got the windows fitted?Looking for solutions and hoping for a miracle!0

oh, i see!! In that case you'll have to get your partner to pay for the windows, then pay him back. Or pay cash for them I guess!!Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')

If you've signed the credit agreement, surely that makes you liable? Not quite sure I understand.
Are they saying they can't help you because 'tough' you signed, you made the declaration of your ownership status, or, are they saying they can't make an arrangement with you as they can only make arrangements with the homeowner?

They are saying can't help me due to me not being the homeowner, which is frustrating, I told Zentih I would make arrangement to pay them directly - they haven't come back to me.Looking for solutions and hoping for a miracle!0

We had the most horrendous evening of our life with a Zenith rep. He stayed at our house until 11.30pm, trying to get a deal. It makes me feel slightly sick even now.
Can't you get another form of finance for the windows or transfer it to your partner's name?A minute at the till, a lifetime on the bill.
Nothing tastes as good as being slim feels.

I was ok transferring it but my partner has a CCJ so credit it a problem for him, meaning APR is horrid!Looking for solutions and hoping for a miracle!0

Do you not have a 'cooling off' period on agreements signed at home?
When we had our windows done - Zenith 'rep' (think it's short for reprobate) spent 3 hours at our house - in the end I told him to go as I wanted to go to the pub. He asked if he could ring his manager, from our phone, and offered us a 'massive' discount if we agreed to become a show home. After the discount, the Zenith price was just over twice the average quoted price.
When we checked the number that he had called, it turned out to be non-existant.I am NOT, nor do I profess to be, a Qualified Debt Adviser. I have made MANY mistakes and have OFTEN been the unwitting victim of the the shamefull tactics of the Financial Industry.
If any of my experiences, or the knowledge that I have gained from those experiences, can help anyone who finds themselves in similar circumstances, then my experiences have not been in vain.
