Hello
i left my previous company on 17/5/2013
My p45 says 3000 total pay to date
And 300 tax to date
I used to get 1500 net pay (salary 22k) and worked there for less that 2 months for the running tax year.
Now i started working for another company with 24k salary + 2k welcome bonus. My 1st pay was 2900 net.
Is that resonalbe?? Its like i am actually getting less although my salary increased.
Between now and my previous job i have been away not working.

What's your tax code?Trying to be a man is a waste of a woman0

Have you checked with the payroll dept. to see if your P45 reached them in time for your first month's salary? Can you give full details of that salary and the P45?0

They told me they dont need the p45. They only need to know if i have worked during this tax year.
My code is 990L M10 -
Details of salary still required if you want the tax and NI checked.
Your P45 figures will get to your employer from HMRC eventually, no idea how long that takes these days, and no idea why your employer will not accept your P45. I assume that you had no taxable income or benefit between jobs.0
