I have my own measure of the economy, the 'doomometer'.
It measures the rate at which 'we're doomed' stories appear in the media.
From a low of -1.02 in 2004 (no doom stories but stories ridiculing them anyway) to the current 3.33 (over three doom stories a week) it clearly shows that we are all 4.35% doomed.
So now you know.
