Spring Bulbs Showing Shoots

I have just been doing a bit of tidying up in the garden and I have noticed bulb shoots breaking the surface in both my back and front gardens.

Should they be doing this already? Does this mean they are not planted deep enough and if this is the case should I dig up and replant deeper.

Hiya azza, this is quite normal for a lot of spring bulbs, you don't need to do anything :)
    Definitely not high maintenance! :D

Thanks froo gal. It has been ridiculously mild so no doubt the poor wee things will get a fright when the weather changes!

Some of mine too......but not all. the ones that are just starting are all one variety (can't remember what I put where though!), so assume others will follow.

They did this last year and, I think, the year before. Just let them be, all will be well :)

Echo above, but emphasise don't dig them up.

They are super tolerant of forward and backward seasons and can adapt to this, they will be fine.
I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.

Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)

Always expect the unexpected:eek:and then you won't be dissapointed
  • Very normal, Tip for anyone with bulbs do be careful when hoeing this time of year as many bulbs are just ready to burst through the soil and it is easy to cut them off.
