Complete re-plumb

Hi,

Had a quote to replumb my whole house. It is stripped back to unplastered walls at the moment. No boiler, no toilets to take out etc. Floors up all over the place, plumber can make as much mess as they want.

We are in the South of England.

£15000

Supply and fit a new boiler.
Supply and fit pressurised/unvented tanks and associated controls.
Run new heating pipes around house (radiators not included in quote).
Run new water pipes from stop !!!!.
Run new gas pipe from meter to boiler.
Install hot and cold pipes to 3 bathrooms, utility room and kitchen.

No radiators fitted or supplied, no work in any of the bathrooms or Kitchen.

What do you think?

Get two more quotes (ideally from recommended RGIs/plumbers) and compare. Full specification is vital e.g make and model of boiler, make and capacity of UV cylinder, copper or plastic pipework etc.

I would second the 2 extra quotes route too...

Its probably a difficult thing to price up without seeing and checking the specifications of what you are getting.

I can however say that we are in the south...and had a full central heating system installed with 7 radiators and all new pipework plus new bathroom upstairs from scratch and new downstairs cloakroom, and plumbing in kitchen and utility area for possibly around £8k...10 if you add in all the fixtures.
Each site will be different so its almost impossible to say that you could bring yours in for the same price as us from the limited info we've both supplied.

    2017 toiletries challenge 179 out 145 in ...£18.64 spend
