Protea Ridge Cottages and Conference Centre - North of Johannesburg - Safe , Secure , Luxury and Cheap .
We stayed here for one week in April this year (from Easter Monday ) and it was great , and only cost R2900 ( £200 at the time and better than that now ) for the cottage for a whole week - not per person . I check regularly and the price has not changed so this is a real bargain for excellent accommodation .
The complex is close to tourist attractions such as the Lion and Rhino Park , Hartbeespoort Dam , Fourways , Monte Casino , Northgate Shopping Centre and Coca-Cola Dome and within 2 hours of the Pilansberg Game Reserve and Sun City and well away from the city of Johannesburg .
